Or maybe “Who?” is said in the way that means,”Who do you mean” rather than “Who is Wueren”. Like, “drop a name, you grinning idiot” kind of remark.

Oh, I think you may be right. It’s hard to believe the Queen would hire Wueren unless he was the top option for her daughter.

I think Alice’s comment is more in the vein of how do you know him, and how do you know I’m connected to him

I am deeply concerned Alice doesn’t remember who Wueren is. (For those of you who don’t recall the name, Wueren kept Alice hidden for a couple years while she was letting everyone think she was dead, he’s the guy whose head Julia was keeping alive before transplanting Wuenen’s brain into a female spineman cyborg, and Wueren and Alice were still working together before she got into the drop pod to come up here. That was maybe half an hour ago in-comic time.)

Did not quite understand his last comment. Reads funny to me.

“Cutters” probably refers to surgeons, though Wueren was a robotics and cybernetics expert who was supposed to put the Queen’s daughter’s head into a robot body and life support unit (Julius). So it could also mean someone who could keep her head alive or put her brain into a clone or something.
