I do not think it was liquid nitrogen however. She stored it in something that looks like a fuel can (no heat insulation and seems to be metal) and grabbed it barehanded. Her hands would have frozen to the can if that was liquid nitrogen. The container she filled does not seem to be heat insulated either. No sign of any visible evaporation/boiling either, despite the apparent lack of insulation.
I always interpreted it as some medical mixture.
About how much actual time has elapsed since the decapitation, anyway? A lot has happened, but in this comic a lot can happen in a very short period of time!
The head was actually just sitting around under some concrete for a while after being cut off. It was supposed to go into a container of liquid nitrogen, but then it slipped and hit the floor. An empty container was stolen, a replacement empty container was delivered to Tech Tree by Owen.
There will be no brain damage. That head is just rotting meat at this point. With a jaunty hat on its container.
That head was without oxygen a way too long for bringing her back to life. There is no way there is no severe brain damage. This story world has amazing technology, but so far magic was not used.
At this point, people may just be trying to get that head so no one else has it.

i think i referred to it as suspension fluid it, once or twice. whatever that does. suspend, i suppose.
