I get what you’re saying. I just feel bad for him because it still is so undignified. To die so abruptly over his desk at work along with such a graphic expression. I would rather people pass on without ever bearing a horrified expression.
Actually, considering the grief and suffering that he’s probably caused throughout his life, for no better reason than his own ego and desire for vengeance, I’d say he got off lightly. It was over quickly, and apparently with relatively little pain. How many people suffered how many years just because of this guy’s ego?
Not that I think the ‘executors’ had anything like his comfort in mind. In this world, if they’d taken longer to generate more suffering, he just might have reached sufficiently advanced medical care to survive the attack.
Still, if you’re going to execute someone, doing it clean, quick, and as painless as possible, is not just a mercy for them, it’s for your own sanity. People who indulge in causing others pain, no matter how justified, can quickly become worse than those they kill.

Considering what he was apparently planning, this was a great thing. And the look on his face makes me all warm inside…but then I like poetic justice.
