in my previous post, i alluded too how busy i was being. partly actual work, partly life, partly the comic. i had set myself a few goals this year, and so far, i’m on track. part of this includes bundling and publishing the comic for release both digitally, and for print. one of the challenges that comes with that, is producing cover art. little hard to find the time, when you’re also trying to produce 2 half pages a week. but, i thought i would share my progress with you guys so far, with this, the re-cover art for the first issue.

you probably don’t know, (cause how couldĀ  you, smartypants) but the Black and Blue website comic starts on issue 2, and issue 1 was actually published already. sort of. but, with a new official release looming, i thought i would take the opportunity to dust of the original issue, and give it a better cover. this is still sort of a work in progress, but i’m happy with the theme so far. let me know what you think.

and for those who are suffering from a lack of patience, or just want to read it digitally, here’s a link to the page where you can download Black and Blue at comixology, for about 2 bucks. not bad for 38 pages of content, but i’ve since corrected the colours to it the paletteĀ  i use now. the story remains the same, though a little greyer. they added the whole ‘guided panel’ feature to it, which is interesting. but at the time, i didn’t have a website, and my whole ‘field of dreams’ approach to content creation did not yield much results. live and learn.

my other goals include setting up sales online, and even trying to wrangle a booth at the toronto fan expo in september. fingers crossed, i can sit sadly at a booth while exhausted geeks pass in front of me with quizzical looks. fame!
